Dark reflections on a fragile future
"Bleached" presents a delicate formation, surrounded by black reflective glass. It enables the viewers to see multifaceted reflections of both themselves and the withered coral skull. The work aims to encourage deep reflections on our future's fragility, referencing the continuing climate crisis that impacts all living beings.
This work was created through procedural growth simulations, digitally shaping coral into an image of a human skull, and realised through 3D printing.
